The Loss of a Dear Relationship
Sobre este episodio
Some losses do not involve the death of a loved one, yet they can still change our lives in profound ways. Sometimes, someone important to us does something we never expected, and suddenly the relationship we knew no longer feels the same. Trust may change. The closeness may feel different. Even the way we understand our history with that person can shift. In this episode of Transformando el Duelo, I reflect on this kind of grief: the grief that can arise when a relationship changes, breaks, or can no longer be what it once was. How can we acknowledge what we have lost without denying the meaningful moments we once shared? How do we make space for sadness, disappointment, anger, or confusion? And how can we decide, with awareness and self-respect, what we need in order to move forward? Accepting what happened does not mean approving of it. It means acknowledging reality so we can decide how we want to live in response to it. Even through these losses, we can learn, establish boundaries, care for ourselves, and continue transforming our lives. When you transform your loss, you transform your life. Ligia M.
