What If Not Knowing Is the Way Forward? - Lise Bruynooghe
Sobre este episodio
A little first for Skills Finder: this episode is entirely in English. If you usually listen to me in Spanish, don't worry ! you haven't clicked on the wrong podcast. For the first time, I'm taking Skills Finder into English for a conversation that felt worth making the leap. In this episode, I sit down with Lise Bruynooghe, MCC , executive coach, founder of the Lise Bruynooghe Academy, and Global Board Chair of the International Coaching Federation. This conversation is particularly special to me. I met Lise at a moment when I was questioning many things about my own professional path. I joined her academy, trained as a coach under her guidance, and that experience became an important part of the journey that led me to the work I do today. But this episode is about her journey. Lise began her career in the corporate world and initially turned to coaching as a way to become a better leader. What started as a leadership skill slowly became something else: a profession, a calling, and eventually the place where her abilities and interests seemed to come together. We talk about how careers evolve in ways we don't always anticipate, why sometimes the skills we develop for one purpose end up opening an entirely different professional path, and what happens when other people begin to see a strength in us before we fully recognize it ourselves. We also explore Lise's transition from corporate leadership to professional coaching, building her own coaching practice and academy, and her work today helping shape the future of the coaching profession through the International Coaching Federation. A conversation about career transitions, leadership, finding your professional sweet spot, and allowing your career to become something you couldn't necessarily have planned from the beginning.
