03x03: [English version] The future of work 🤖
Sobre este episodio
🇬🇧 Otro episodio en inglés, ¡a practicar idiomas! This episode’s guest, Keteney Conti, is a Brazilian mom in Italy and an IT professional who works on AI at work every day. Her daughter has to choose a school track at 14, and that choice got her asking what work will look like by the time her daughter enters it. We start with what AI is actually changing. It’s reshuffling which tasks inside a job are worth paying a person for, faster than training can keep up, far more than it’s eliminating whole jobs. In this age of AI, what skills matter most? We argue that we’ll be hiring for judgment, meaning the ability to decide under incomplete information. We also look at a paradox: AI is automating the junior execution work where judgment used to be learned, so what happens to the junior-to-senior ladder? And we get practical about what schools and parents can each do to teach analytical thinking and problem framing, for jobs that don’t exist yet. Plus a question for you: are you building the judgment for AI, or just hoping the ladder still works the way it used to?
