Liliana Angulo (Bogotá, 1974–2026) Afro-Colombian artist and researcher. Through photography, sculpture, performance, and collaborative practice, she challenged the historical narratives that have rendered the experiences and knowledge of Afro-descendant communities invisible. The ¡Quieto Pelo! series emerged from a collaborative process with hair braiders and knowledge keepers in Quibdó. These braided hairstyles make visible the knowledge, histories, and memories passed down through generations and have long been associated with ways of navigating the territory during enslavement and escape.
