María Thereza Negreiros (Maués, Brazil, 1930) Brazilian artist born in the Amazon and based in Colombia since 1954. Her work explored a wide range of materials while maintaining a profound connection with the natural world. Beginning in the 1970s, she developed the Serie Amazónica , in which color and movement evoke the ever-changing force of the rainforest and its ongoing processes of transformation.
