#217 Joshua Schrei | Ritual space = artistic space = healing space

Joshua Schrei is a mythteller, teacher, and founder of The Emerald Podcast, where he explores myth, story, and imagination through a rich, somatic lens. With over 20 years of experience in mythology, cosmology, and embodied practice, his work bridges ancient wisdom and modern inquiry. In this episode, I sit down with Josh to explore the profound role of ritual in reconnecting us to ourselves, each other, and the cosmos. We dive into the power of storytelling, the lost art of deep listening, and the way artistic, sacred, and healing spaces intertwine. Josh shares how his creative process is shaped by nature, rhythm, and resonance—offering a counterpoint to the hyper-rational world we live in. This is a conversation about presence, transmission, and the mystery that moves through us when we allow ourselves to truly listen.
