Cancer and Grief (1st part)
Sobre este episodio
Dear community, in this new episode of my podcast "Transforming Grief” I share with you about cancer and grief, and the importance of recognizing that this disease can generate a variety of emotions in both the patient and their loved ones. This will be the first chapter of a series in my podcast, where I will address various aspects of this disease that affects millions of people around the world. During this process it is essential to provide empathetic and understanding support to those who go through it. This involves active listening, validating the emotions and concerns of those affected, and offering them a safe space to express themselves. In addition, it is important to remember that each person experiences grief in a unique way, so it is essential to adapt to individual needs. Accompaniment during this process involves providing emotional support, but it can also include helping with practical tasks, such as arranging medical appointments or coordinating medical care. Likewise, it is beneficial to encourage open and honest communication between all those involved, allowing each one to express their feelings and concerns. In this episode I give you some thoughts and resources to help people deal with their emotions and find the strength to keep going. If you are in a similar situation, I am with you with all my heart. Share it to whoever can inspire you. Ligia M. Houben www.ligiahouben.com IG/ligiahouben FB/ligiahouben YT/ligia houben Tiktok/ligiahouben
