## Sobre este episodio

The podcast describes the Blue Division, a military body of Spanish volunteers who fought alongside Nazi Germany on the Soviet front during World War II. This unit allowed Francisco Franco's regime to ideologically support the Axis and combat communism without formally entering the global conflict. The contingent was composed of a mix of convinced Falangists, career military personnel, and individuals seeking to rehabilitate their political image before the dictatorship. Despite their notable resistance in bloody battles such as Krasny Bor, pressure from the Allied powers eventually forced their repatriation and dissolution. Following the end of the war, the regime attempted to justify this intervention as a strategic anti-communist crusade to align itself with the new Western order.
