Hansel and Gretel

Once upon a time, in a very dense forest, there were two children named Hansel and Gretel who went into the forest leaving their parents behind. They walked so much that they got lost in the forest. Gretel said: “Hansel, brother, where are we? We are lost and I am hungry.” Hansel replied: “No, sister, don’t worry, I see a light over there.” They kept walking and discovered a very colorful house. Hansel said: “Look, Gretel, a house. Let’s go and knock.” Gretel replied: “Yes, let’s go.” When they arrived and touched the house, they discovered it was made of candy. Hansel said: “Gretel, can we eat some?” Gretel replied: “Yes, because we are very hungry.” They kept eating happily when suddenly the door slowly opened and a frightening-looking woman came out. The witch said: “Oh, what sweet children!” Hansel and Gretel got scared, but the woman calmed them and invited them inside to keep eating. When the children began to trust her, the witch showed her true face and said: “Ha ha ha! You fell into my trap. Now you will be my food!” The terrified children tried to escape, but the witch chased them around the house until they reached the oven and laughed. The witch said: “I will cook you here!” She grabbed Hansel in her arms and tried to throw him into the boiling water, but Gretel gathered courage and pushed the witch. The witch said: “No!” Then Gretel said to her brother: “Come on, Hansel, let’s get out of here, run!” When they left the house, everything burned down, and the children were safe. Hansel said: “Thank God, we are safe.”
