Pepita the Goat

She was a goat, not a dog. A gift for Abuelo, but Pepita chose him instead. She followed El Inquieto everywhere, tied only by a yellow string and childhood love. One day, she disappeared. Was she given away… or served for dinner? This is the story of Pepita — best friend, emotional support animal before the term existed, and the first lesson that tenderness breaks the rules , even in a house full of silence and plastic-covered couches. He didn’t choose rebellion. He just didn’t want her to melt in the heat. 🌀 El Inquieto is an audio-journal contado como cassette prestado — historias de la isla, la diáspora, y lo que nunca se dice en voz alta.
