In this homily on Matthew 22:1–14, we reflect on God’s invitation to the banquet of his Kingdom. The Lord calls everyone without exception and offers us a full and abundant life with him. Accepting the invitation also means allowing the Gospel to transform our hearts. The wedding garment represents this inner disposition: putting on the spirit of Jesus, forgiving, serving, and drawing near to those who are suffering. Are we listening to God’s invitation, or are our worries and distractions keeping us from hearing it? May this reflection help us respond with renewed hearts and work so that no one has reason to weep.
