Música - John Sklove
Sobre este episodio
¡Vótame en los Premios iVoox 2026! Entrevista concedida por el músico canadiense John Sklove, con motivo del lanzamiento de su último trabajo «Scission». SCISSION, the new palate cleanser from DELUJN, slicing you in half then sewing you back together upside down facing backwards! Escorted in with a minced guitar swish, stacks of vocals & hand percussion, the soft rap of a tambourine hints at the commotion to come. The drums plunder & the synths shoo away the dirty world. A song about has-beens, underestimating losers & communing with somebody lost in the depths of obsession. The initial inspiration for the song Scission was the definition of the word itself...the action or state of cutting or being cut. When you're touring and travelling relationships can start up quickly and end just as fast, the lyrics reflect the shock and come down from the rush of those emotions. The music started as a repeating bass movement and each instrument was built up from that pulse, by the end of the song it's pretty chaotic, I wanted the vocals to sound huge, so we tripled each line!!
