## Sobre este episodio

The texts explore the origin and development of the Bible, analysing the cultural influences that shaped it, from Mesopotamia and Egypt to the expansion of Christianity in the Roman Empire. The impact of the Babylonian exile on the compilation and editing of Old Testament texts is examined, as is the role of scribes in the transmission and preservation of Scripture. The different versions and translations of the Bible are also addressed, including the Septuagint, the Vulgate and the King James Bible, and how these translations have influenced Western theology, culture and thought throughout history is explored. Finally, the place of the Bible today is reflected upon, analysing how its interpretation and relevance continue to be the subject of debate in religious, political, social and cultural contexts.
