Sobre este episodio
In this first episode, titled "Origins of Museums and their Hidden Function," we explore the origins of museums and the hidden role they have played throughout history. From the early cabinets of curiosities to the great institutions of today, we analyze how museums have evolved beyond being mere repositories of artifacts, becoming powerful tools of cultural control, diplomacy, and imperial power. Discover how the decisions about what is displayed and what is hidden in their collections reveal much more about history and ideologies than we might imagine.
