## Sobre este episodio

During the nineteenth century, scientific and artistic representations of the territory made it possible to classify, measure, and organize nature according to the principles of Western modernity. In this process, nature came to be understood as an object of knowledge that could be classified, ordered, and controlled. Throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, these ways of understanding nature began to be questioned. Rather than producing new images, many contemporary artistic practices explore other ways of relating to the territory and to the life forms that inhabit it. The works brought together in this section emerge from that question. Some revisit scientific and visual archives; others explore the transformations of matter, memory, and landscape. Together, they invite us to see nature not as an object of observation, but as a living system of relationships in constant transformation. What changes when we stop thinking of nature as something separate from ourselves?
